Storage basket sizing: measure the opening and the walking route

A basket must fit both its contents and its location. Measure the available footprint, the height under furniture and the route people use around it. A basket that technically fits a corner can still make the room awkward.
Compare shapes honestly
The rope basket is 36 cm across and 40 cm high. The felt basket is approximately 38 × 25 × 18 cm. The lower shape makes contents more visible, while the taller shape holds a different group of soft items.
